Scott Krieger

Senior Developer/Strategist

Scott Krieger began coding when markup code was young, and has stayed just ahead of interface design practice ever since. We know he will push us and pull our clients along to ever more elegant, agile expressions of information. His deep empathic skills and fierce loyalty to users of his work, his ability to comb through a complex tangle to find the right path, the delightful, useful thing, have put our work on the map for years and years. We cherish his brain, and also his poetry and his fiction, and his family. And his twisted sense of humor. Scott is here three days a week, because Thursdays and Fridays are his days to make art happen. Sometimes his own art, sometimes collaborations with Christine and Alex, a joy to behold.

Turned on its side and coupled with the letter form of a large A, the two create a symbolic equivalence. More
There have been a number of interesting posts lately on ReadWriteWeb regarding the puzzle of Social Media for Business. Businesses have only begun to take advantage of the capabilities of social media tools to empower communications to their customers. In fact Charlene Li showed an interesting example at the Social Media Marketing Summit 2008 of how a Google search for Comcast can do more to damage their brand than reenforce it: She says: You must understand that the power is now in the hands of consumers. Can the internet help a local business reach a local audience? Does the internet help with the Wal-Mart problem? Let's say you own a clothing store selling unique creations of your own design and you want to promote yourself online. OK, where do you start? Let's say you buy a domain and set up a website. You have a hands-on approach to selling, you are a consultant and a confidante to your customer. More
Andy shared a link yesterday to the newly launched Email standards initiative. We often get requests to build HTML emails for our clients and if you thought supporting a broad base of browsers was a challenge, try getting proper alignments in Lotus Notes. Writing HTML for email is like stepping back into the 20th century. More
Julie let me play with her Chumby. What's a Chumby? Well, a Chumby is a little dream machine. A wifi, linux-based widget bean bag with a touch screen and speakers. More
We have a lot of passion for that point of connection between people and technology. Interface design is an exciting field these days. The multi-touch display Jeff Han presented at TED a few years back sparked a lot of ideas on our team. More
