I am commenting on my own piece here, but I wanted to make a mini update to it and say that now XNA is up and running on Xbox Live as "Community Games" and there are some really incredible games there. All made by people like you and me. Pretty neat....
Victor Sirotek on It's a User-Generated World
So true. This might have spurred a new bit cleaning project for me....
Justin on Bye-bye, bits
Great story. Reminded me of two things. 1. My dad used to make custom graph paper for my brother and I so we could detail maps of the dungeons on Bard's Tale on the ole C64. 2. diyplanner.com: I am not sure this is being updated anymore, but it sure helped me get started with a little hipster PD...

I have an email with one more Jeremy story that is just so coder: "Shortly before leaving for bootcamp, I wrote a script for my site to check traffic and how many documents were printing by different users. The script would output all this information into written sentences, dynamically changing t...

Hello im gina, im an edditor working for Liaoning international publishing house. i want to ask you if you would be at all intrested in a cooperation together to make a book about brochures and envelops. i enjoyed perusing through your works and would like to talk with you about them. thank you ...
gina on Hope for HTML email
Fair enough. Let me restate by saying that in my experience, "agile" can be used as an excuse for a shoot-then-aim mentality. I agree that an agile process, when properly staffed and managed, is ideal. I'm all for being agile, as I aim for our entire firm to be this way....

Here's a Chumby 9 volt discussion: http://forum.chumby.com/viewtopic.php?pid=5575 Building low power consumption devices is hard (and necessary). My big complaint about the chumby I saw was that because it needed external power it was effictively tethered, and thus couldn't be tossed around like ...
Edward Vielmetti on Chumby vs. iPhone
Too much of agile development offers an excuse for acting without a plan. This is not correct. Agile development is all about planning -- iteratively and when its needed. It is opposed to big up front design, which focuses energy, time and money on producing a plan which ...

I'm thankful the iPhone doesn't support flash. I wish more web viewers didn't support flash. There is nothing more annoying that visiting a site build completely on flash. After waiting 10 minutes for the site to load you realize that if there is any valuable information on the site, you can't fo...
Rob Clark on Chumby vs. iPhone
But you have to admit, Krieger, that as USB memory sticks go, my transparent purple mini one is, actually, pretty sexy....
Julie on Chumby vs. iPhone
I spent some time thinking about this Chumby vs. iPhone and realized an important distinction: the iPhone is a personal interface to the internet. The Chumby is actually better positioned as an avatar or output device. If you have one sitting on your desk, it can display a Twitter feed or some other...

These pictures don't really show Chumby's scale either, so I submit the following link: http://www.chumby.com/story I also encourage people to take a look at the friends of chumby flickr page too: http://www.flickr.com/photos/11410414@N06/ and the Chumby Industries flickr page too: http://www.flick...
