When we heard that Bill was a lepidopterist, we… looked up lepidopterist. The smart money was on a definition having something to do with initiating the conversations that lead to great design. Turns out he likes butterflies—a lot. In fact, he’s amassed a collection of thousands of specimens. But in his case, the other definition could also apply. A longtime fan of The Clash, Bill knows it was the friction between Joe Strummer and Mick Jones that fueled some of best punk rock songs ever written. Good thing he doesn’t draw on that knowledge when he’s working with clients. For that, he draws on his nearly 20 years of experience building quality relationships with clients at top-notch design studios and agencies in the Detroit area. Before moving into the account side of the business Bill began his career as an illustrator, which gives him a foundation steeped in craft to go along with his strong sensitivity to the client’s needs. Needless to say, he fit right in here. We’re glad to have him—along with his butterflies, his Clash albums (that’s right, albums), and his family (Allison, Josie, and Cole)—on our side of the Mitten.
