Holiday magazines
At last year’s Peopledesign holiday party, it was my job to prepare an activity for everyone to do. But instead of trying to get everyone to play a game or participate in an ice breaker, I decided that it would be more appropriate to do something that merely involved looking and laughing (two things nobody ever minds doing).
Next thing I knew I was in Photoshop, zooming into my co-worker’s faces at 300%. Everyone was placed on their own magazine cover. The painstakingly careful matching of person to magazine was intended to describe and/or exaggerate their personality, or maybe just something currently going on in their life. Stuff like being a rabid Bears fan (Brian) or a rabid cheer mom (Jane) was fair game. So take a look, have a laugh, and enjoy.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention the best part. This project was probably the only chance in life I’ll get to stick my boss’s head on a Cat Fancy magazine cover. (No, Kevin’s not that much of a cat fancier, but you’ve got to admit that Jane Seymour’s hair color is a purr-fect match!)
