Interface is the world leader in environmentally responsible modular carpet. We’re engaged on several fronts for this innovative firm, recently helping to launch Interface Hospitality at the 2011 HD Expo in Las Vegas.
InterfaceFLOR, the company’s commercial division, has a competency in a variety of vertical markets including healthcare, education, retail, and senior living. One of our first projects together was a successful refocusing and repackaging of the offer for the growing hospitality market. The objective of the first phase of this work was to introduce a re-invigorated Interface Hospitality to influential A&D (architects and designers) specifiers and hospitality brand managers who attend the show.
Grounded in customer research, we developed a focused position based on the strengths of their core product offer – modular floor design – and a complementary identity. Interface Hospitality challenges the market norm of broadloom (wall-to-wall) carpet treatments, which tend to be less flexible and more wasteful. “DYF – Design Your Floor!” is a playful theme for the show and beyond, highlighting the company’s core product benefits and competitive advantage.
Peopledesign collaborated with the Interface Hospitality team to develop event materials, including advertising, booth design, and a movie (above, which played on a loop during the show), original overhead photography representing product applications and options, a promotional website, and printed handouts.
We’re currently working on the next phase of materials for market and application overviews, and a system for showing product options in print and online.
