Theory and practice

AIGA, the professional association for design, is the oldest and largest organization of its kind. As a long-time member, we help with national initiatives on design, speak at AIGA events, and lead the local chapter. We’ve also been asked to design promotional materials for various chapter initiatives in other parts of the country.

We developed a call for entries poster and corresponding award book for the annual AIGA Detroit Re:View. We captured the essence of The Motor City with a series of human figures created from industrial stencils, and the ubiquitous hand metaphor for the state of Michigan.

AIGA Washington, D.C. asked Yang and Kevin to contribute to their fundraising efforts by designing objects for auction. In 2006, we created napkin art.
